Dear Friends,

A grateful person sent me an email on Thanksgiving asking how she could
make a donation in response to my weekly service in support of her
ministry. I was touched. I’ve been sending these helps out now for ten
years as a free service and that is how I want it to remain.

Still, as Christians, it is our nature to be grateful and generous, so
I need to answer her question for her and for all my subscribers.

I am working to endow a professorship at the United Methodist Seminary
in Mulungwishi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It has graduated
a class of pastors every year for the past 50 years, a rare island of
stability in the chaos of that country. I believe the growth of caring
structures is the most important gift the church can give to Africa.
That structure is supporting dramatic church growth in that region of
the Congo.

The endowment is called “The McGregor Professorship”. All the money is
held and managed by the New Mexico Conference Methodist Foundation.
They in turn will begin sending the interest on that endowment to the
seminary when it reaches its goal of $200,000. All gifts are tax
deductible. No gift is too small. Every gift helps. When you make a
contribution, you simply make out a check to the foundation and put
“The McGregor Professorship” on the memo line. This is the address:

New Mexico Conference Methodist Foundation
The McGregor Professorship
11816 Lomas Blvd. NE
Albuquerque, NM 87112

They will send a letter to you recognizing your contribution, and they
will post your name to my list of donors.

Thank you for joining me in spreading the good news of Jesus Christ.
