A Pilgrimage to Iona led by Bert Scott and Roland McGregor
September 4-12, 2009
1,100 US DOLLARS
How are you at making snap decisions? Well, here is one for you: I have arranged for 18 places at the MacLeod Center on Iona, Scotland for a pilgrimage that I will lead along with my fellow pastor Bert Scott. What makes this a snap decision is that the MacLeod Center will only hold the spaces open until February 20, 2009.
The dates for the pilgrimage are September 4-12, 2009, round trip from the Glasgow airport and back to the Glasgow airport. Travel from your home to Glasgow and back is your responsibility.
The cost is $1,100 per person.
$300 will reserve you one of the 18 places on a first come first served basis between now and the 20th.

Who is Roland McGregor, and how can I trust him?
I am a retired United Methodist Pastor with over 40 years of service to the church. I began publishing The McGregorPage on the Internet in 1996. I am a seasoned world traveler and most recently (2008) led a United Methodist Volunteers in Mission team to Mulungwishi in the southern Congo (DRC). If I can get 12 people to the Congo and back, I can get you from Glasgow to Iona and back. Will supply references upon request.
My co-leader, Bert Scott, retired after serving as pastor of First United Methodist Church, Corvallis, Oregon. Before that he served the campus of Emery University.
This is a pilgrimage not a tour, and the accommodations at the MacLeod Center are not tourist level, more church camp level. Our focus will be to share the life and witness of the Iona Community seeking our own spiritual growth at the same time.
If you are interested, contact me by email, and I will give you all the details.
