    WHY?

This Wednesday, 7 May 2008, we are preparing for a free public skit  
that will be held on Saturday, 17 May 2008.

The skit is called the NORMATHON. It involves encouraging everyone to  
bring their problem to a Big Giant Pill, an enormous prop of a  
psychiatric drug! We will video the skit for YouTube.

MindFreedom is pro-choice on taking prescribed psychiatric drugs. But  
we all agree the power of psychiatric drugs is now out of control.  
We'll use theater to speak out, air our feelings, and do a "Bed Push."

Bring your ideas to the planning gathering. Help make props, suggest  
scenes, brainstorm costumes. We will have free refreshments.

    WHAT IS THIS?

This is where free minded people in Lane County exchange views, ideas  
and support with other free minded people! All are welcome.

This will be the 61st successful free monthly First Wednesday Round  
Table sponsored by MindFreedom Lane County, part of an independent  
nonprofit coalition based in Eugene, Oregon, USA.

MindFreedom International, based here in Eugene, unites 100 sponsor  
and affiliate groups around the world with the mission of a  
nonviolent revolution in mental health care.

This event is literally at a round table in the public common room  
directly outside the MindFreedom office.

    IS THE MEETING WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?

You bet. If you need to use the "wheel-evator" to get to the second  
floor, contact the office before hand at 345-9106 to make sure dock  
door is opened for you.

    WHERE DO I PARK?

* Five FREE spots for Growers office building guests are marked  
"reserved" to the north of building against the fence on the west  
edge of the Amtrak parking lot by the chain link fence.

* We've never heard of a parking meter ticket after 5 pm. All meters  
are officially free at 6 pm.

* If these spots are full, there are free parking spaces on any side  
street starting two short blocks to the west at Charnelton north of  
Fifth St.

    HOW CAN I HELP?

We'll have free snacks and beverages, but you are welcome to bring  
extra if you wish.
