Mary Maddock of Cork, Ireland was a Catholic nun for six years.

Then Mary was trapped by the psychiatric system for 20 years.

And now Mary is an activist dedicated to a "nonviolent revolution in  
the mental health system," and co-founder of MindFreedom Ireland.

As the moment this alert is being e-mailed, Mary is launching her new  
autobiographical book co-written with her husband Jim, "Soul Survivor  
-- A Personal Encounter with Psychiatry," at a special event in Cork,  
Ireland. Their book tells the harrowing but ultimately inspiring  
story of Mary’s involvement with the psychiatric establishment. For
