Guest Linda Morrison, PhD brief bio:

Linda Morrison is an assistant professor of sociology at Oakland  
University in Michigan.  She has been an active participant and ally  
of the consumer/survivor movement for 10 years.  She has experienced  
psychiatry from many sides: as a patient, research subject, social  
worker, family member, bioethics intern, consumer advocate, and  
activist.  Her dissertation research on the consumer/survivor/ex- 
patient movement was published in 2005 by Routledge Press; the book  
is entitled Talking Back to Psychiatry: The Consumer/Survivor/Ex- 
patient Movement.
