(1) Youth Psychiatric Survivors Speak Out on MFI Free Internet Radio!
The next two MindFreedom Internet Radio Shows -- broadcast live and
free on the web -- will feature youth psychiatric survivors
reflecting on the Virginia Tech tragedy. You may phone in live with
your questions and comments.
Tomorrow, Wednesday, 2 May 2007, at 4 pm ET, you may hear Martin
Rafferty, a 20 year old psychiatric survivor activist and MindFreedom
Youth Outreach Coordinator, as a guest on the show. Host is David Oaks.
The next week, Wednesday, 9 May 2007, guest will be Neil Gong of the
Icarus Project. Neil is a psychiatric survivor college campus
organizer at New York University. Hear from the point of view of a
college student who is working to raise these issues with other
students.

* May is supposed to be "mental health month." Will it instead be
"cover-up month"? MindFreedom issues statement calling for "full
disclosure" about Cho, including a toxicology examination that is
supposed to be completed in May, but which the Virginia Medical
Examiner said he will refuse to make public.
* Activist Judi Chamberlin challenges bias at 60 Minutes on coverage
of mental health issues in wake of Virginia Tech.
* Read statements by Bazelon Center, Peter Breggin, MD and National
Coalition of Mental Health Consumer/Survivor Organizations about the
Virginia Tech tragedy.

(3) Not too late! "Creative Revolution in Healing: Turning Our Minds
Around"
The announced deadline to reserve your space at the MindFreedom
conference/retreat was yesterday, 30 April.
But slots are still available so register soon. The gathering is in a
beautiful retreat center in rural Connecticut to help create a choice
of alternatives to the conventional mental health system, 12 to 15
July 2007.
